The awards are hosted by the Local Search Association (LSA) which includes on its board industry leaders like Google, Microsoft, NinthDecimal, Yellow Pages and Yelp, making the win even more “wow.” With 172 entries across 11 categories, this year’s program attracted entries from some of the most prominent media publishers, agencies and technology providers in the local marketing industry.
“The number of submissions and sheer caliber of the solutions pushing to further blur the lines between digital and physical channels is impressive,” said award judge Sherry Thomas-Zon, product management, mobile at Macy’s. “From engaging consumers with creative time-and-location based campaigns, to deploying rich analytics and extended personalization to in-store experiences, it was a pleasure to review such thought-provoking concepts and innovations.”
The Local Search Association comments that the program is intended to highlight innovation in the local marketing and advertising space and celebrate forward thinking solutions, campaigns and marketing technology, and that with over 90 companies participating in the program this year, winning is a major accomplishment.
“As the number of entries shows, digital marketers and advertisers are waking up to the critical importance of local and location-based marketing,” said LSA President Neg Norton. “This is our most successful award program to date, and it reflects that the industry is now on a path of continuous innovation.”
This recognition is especially appreciated since it so clearly recognizes our mission to build the #1 global marketplace for proximity data, through the Real World Graph™.
Derived from beacon and proximity data, the Real World Graph™ provides a unique perspective on how consumers are contextually connected to physical locations and each other, and our ambition is to change all data driven industries - which means most industries.
The Real World Graph™ is based on indoor and outdoor data collected from the interactions mobile devices have with proximity sensors all over the globe. This data is rigorously verified and synthesized with other user data by Unacast - the world’s largest proximity sensor network.
We look at movements from proximity sensors to facilitate for better and smarter online experiences, mainly through advertising, retargeting and attribution. Future applications will be found in analytics, e-commerce, bots, and AI, to name a few.
We are honored to be recognized as one of the leaders that pushes the boundaries of this new and quickly growing industry. We hope the Real World Graph™ will lay the foundation for future companies, products and services - and this award is great validation that we are on the right track.
